In our families, a day that starts without surprises is a good day. Knowing what's coming, in the right order, with real photographs — not generic pictograms that look like nobody's life.
So, at the Blue Roof Foundation, we started building it. It's called Blü.
What is Blü?
Blü is software designed for autistic children and adults. It makes visual routines and social stories easier, on a tablet that shows the day:
- what's next;
- what's done;
- what there is to choose.
Real photos, personalized stories
Instead of generic images, Blü relies on real photos and personalized stories, so each person recognizes their own life on screen and can prepare calmly for the moments of their day.
Born in the field, not in an office
Blü grew out of very real needs, lived every day by autistic people, their families and the people who support them. Every screen is designed with and for those who will actually use it.
Privacy first
Family photos and personal routines are precious. Protecting personal information guides every design decision we make.
Where we stand
We're deep in development. We're not ready yet, and we'd rather say so. When we are, we'll be looking for families to try Blü with us and share their feedback, free of charge. In time, Blü will also support the future residents of the Blue Roof Foundation.
And you?
